I normally begin with the topic your child is studying at school right now. At the same time, I identify and teach any earlier concepts that are needed to understand it properly.
Keep pace with school
We work first on the current school topic. This helps the student understand lessons, answer questions in class and become an active participant rather than feeling left behind.
Repair the missing basics
If the new topic depends on an older idea that is weak, we go back and strengthen it. This makes the improvement more permanent.
Make the subject meaningful
Students often ask, “Where will I ever use this?” My industrial and laboratory experience allows me to connect Physics, Chemistry and Maths with real measurements, technology, experiments and practical problem solving.

I teach every iBLaurel lesson personally. iBLaurel is not a tutoring marketplace and your child is not passed from one tutor to another.
Over nearly three decades I have taught Physics, Chemistry and Maths to students from different school systems and international backgrounds. My experience includes teaching in the UK and UAE as well as working with students online across Europe, the Middle East and beyond.
Alongside education, I have industrial and laboratory experience. This helps me show students how scientific and mathematical ideas move beyond the textbook into experiments, industry, research and technology.
IA, scientific investigation, laboratory and Extended Essay support
For IB students, tuition can include guidance with scientific investigations, data analysis, uncertainties, laboratory work, mathematical exploration and Extended Essay planning. The student’s work remains their own: the role of tuition is to develop ideas, understanding and analytical skills.

Yes. Lessons are live one-to-one online sessions taught personally by Waseem from London. Luxembourg is only one hour ahead of the UK, so after-school and evening lesson times work particularly well.
Which subjects do you teach?
I specialise in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Support is available for MYP, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and International Baccalaureate students.
Do you teach both IB SL and HL?
Yes. I teach IB Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at both SL and HL, including Maths Analysis & Approaches (AA) and Applications & Interpretation (AI).
Can you help if my child has gaps from earlier topics?
Yes. I normally begin with the topic currently being taught at school and identify the earlier knowledge needed for it. We repair those gaps while keeping the student in step with the class.
Do you provide notes and practice questions?
Yes. Students receive supporting notes and topic-based practice, including question-bank and past-paper style work where appropriate. The aim is to build both understanding and examination technique.
Do you help with IB IAs and scientific investigations?
Yes. I can guide students with research questions, experimental design, data analysis, uncertainties, evaluation and presentation. Guidance is designed to develop the student’s own work and maintain academic integrity.
Can parents receive feedback?
Yes. Regular feedback can be provided so parents understand what has been covered, where progress is being made and where additional practice may be useful.
Do we have to book a long package?
You can first discuss your child’s needs directly with Waseem. The purpose of the initial consultation is to understand the level, current difficulties and whether the tuition is a good fit.
